Square Cupcake Holders

on university teaching and non-changes or changes of the twentieth century

Reading new blog one of the components of SEO-Aranjuez , Javier Fernández, struck me how, despite technological advances, many things remain to much the same way as they were a century ago. He spoke of issues eminently political , but it's amazing (or maybe not) that similar situations are repeated when we move into the world of university teaching.

As an example we take the words of Francis Giner de los Rios in 1902 (Rodriguez de Lecea, 1990):
"(...) methods must be renewed, making them active, personal, tending to favor formal evolution of the spirit and cause it (fans laboratory, free readings, the actual study, the research, the data is historical, archaeological, statistical, geographical, is making itself all) seek and find for himself the materials have to build their thinking and that only in this way endorses (...) "
can not keep this statement reminds us enormously educational approaches that are driving today, exactly one hundred years after Michavila Francesc (2002) commented that
"between the radical transformations that suit The university is replacing the "old" methods of teaching, mainly reactive, with the new learning systems and proactive methods of student participation is essential in the design of the curriculum "
Clearly
we have not yet methodology able to overcome this barrier ... We'll see if new approaches derived from the implementation of "Bologna" manage to finally leave behind these discussions and move forward on a new educational paradigm ...
