turns 3 Expansion in Asia The Premier does not rest

Here in Europe, football is very well assembled. In the Old Continent, football is an element of culture, countries, leagues and clubs (until very recently) went well economically, and passion for the sport reached unimaginable heights.

The best teams are here, great players dream of playing here. The leagues are well organized, UEFA is a competent body is shown, and the League and European Champions League are two competitions internationally renowned.

In a word football in Europe is in good health. But in other continents, the case is quite different, is that in Asia, football is a sport, so to speak, to expand. At least from a global perspective. Perhaps the low level of most equipment, perhaps for the lack of international significance, or even by the great difference between the 40 countries of the Asian Confederation.
As I said before, the Champions League, Europe's top competition, is today a role model. In Asia, however, complex systems of classification for this competition, as well as two other smaller 'cache', are somewhat confusing to follow these tournaments for which we are not so used to this kind of football.

me explain: While the format of the European Champions League is easily recognizable and nothing complex, its Asian counterpart will mutate each season to increase the competitiveness among the best clubs from the neighboring continent.

As I said, more than forty national associations are members of the AFC, but only a few teams have the right to the first competition Asian mainland. Thus, only a handful of leagues are represented in the Champions League, through an approach which encompasses not only sports, but also economic, are critical when selecting the 10 leagues that participate in the AFC Champions League.
In Europe, a better or worse, even the remote nothing glamorous champions league San Marino, through a qualifying round, has the opportunity to reach the group stage of the Champions League. In Asia, not covered (to date) the possibility that the champion of Sri Lanka, East Timor, Guam or take part in a qualifying distance (in which only six teams participated in 2010).

While some see this as a transition period. Originally, the European Cup champions accepted only a small number of leagues. Gradually, more champions were added to the cause, until the early 90's, came the revolution, and with it more teams from more countries were giving way to the competition we see today and which features a large image the public (Apply the same story to the Europe League).

is why that may be present in Asia a bit fuzzy, but at least it is more specific than the past. We are, or so I see it, at a time when it is necessary to encourage this kind of competitions in Asia, which do not have the desired success: very, very few spectators attended the Asian Champions League last year.

But what about other countries? The minor league clubs, ie, those not participating in the Champions League can to satisfy their competitive instincts in the other two competitions that the AFC was established in 2004 and 2005: the AFC Cup and the President's Cup

Thus, the leagues that have a development football narrower than the Asian powers (South Korea, Japan, Australia ...) took part in these two competitions under, killing two birds with one stone: theoretically teams 'minor' improve gradually, which is an improvement in AFC future competitions.

However, a small number of countries, due to its low rate of professional, do not even have a place in the President's Cup (the third club competition). It is for leagues like Afghanistan or East Timorese.

In this way, we may look less attractive football of the neighboring continent, but we must not forget that this is very different situations. However, there are many figures that make the bags off to Europe, enough reason to keep an eye on the Asian competitions in this new year 2011, a continuous progression football.
